June, 2024 Update
- Most of you are aware that neighbors can now visit the pantry twice a month on Thursdays of their choosing. So far, this approach seems to have kept our numbers stable but we will continue to monitor this.
- Our new system, based on suggestions from lots of people, of separating walkers and drivers, and escorting walkers through the line seems successful. Food Bank of the Rockies was impressed with this approach when they visited last month.
- We now have safety vests to improve visibility and encourage all our volunteers to wear them during distribution.
- We continue our search for bilingual (Spanish/English) volunteers.
- SwS is celebrating our 10th anniversary on June 14! Plans are underway to share this celebration with our neighbors, volunteers, and donors.
- June 13 distribution will be special, with balloons, banner, and cookies for our guests and volunteers
- Save the date! Saturday, August 24 will be a picnic celebration outside the Sheridan Recreation Center
